My Body Is a Temple

Choose one or more of the following--or do it for two weeks or even a month's worth of activities to get more done

Learn how to do Facials--(lots of recipes)

Learn how to do Massage (check out a book from the library--screen it first and emphasize not to give massages to members of the opposite sex except your spouses)

Modesty fashion show (use a video, dolls, moms, older sisters, different classes for differentkinds of clothes, etc.)--show off modest prom dresses, jewelry, school wear, sports attire, swim suits

Nutrition (5 food groups, vitamin info, what kinds of foods have which nutrients, cooking healthy and share the recipes you use, food storage and nutrition, using the Word of Wisdom to take better care of our bodies, infant, toddler, and child nutrition, nutrition and pregnancy, benefits of  healthy teen-aged years)

Exercise (aerobics, weights ro strengthening exercises, bike riding)

Bringing the Spirit into daily life

Appropriate media (books, poetry, music, magazines, tv, movies)

Taking care of our bodies (acne, deodorant, dental hygiene, soap, moisterizers, etc. You can even make soap)

Make-up and perfume--tasteful, modest, and becoming

Hairstyles--beautiful hair, ideas for various fair shapes and lifestyles

Appropriate language

Chastity

The Mountain of the Lord

Get physically fit by hiking or mountain biking, prepare to go the the temple (The Mountain of the Lord), learn about wildlife in your area, compare life to a hike and make a game about it, learn how to survive in the wilderness, watch the video "The Mountain of the Lord" about building the Salt Lake temple, collect a mountain of food, clothing, and other supplies for the needy, clean up a neighborhood nature area or park, learn about astronomy and go up to an area without many city lights to look at the stars and talk about the Book of Abraham (August has a meteor shower in the first week or so), learn about different mountains in the scriptures, talk about faith and how to develop the kind of faith that moves mountains, learn to paint mountains or other nature scenes, write poetry or songs about mountains, write and perform a play or read fables or stories that have to do with mountains, learn to overcome the obstacles that get in the way of sharing the gospel with others.
